Tango & Lindy Hop Workshop @ Arts in Motion, Sion!

Tim and Malou will be hosting the following workshops:

1) Argentine Tango immersion workshop from 4 to 6pm

2) Lindy Hop Immersion workshop from 6 to 8pm

Cost: Each workshop, Rs. 600 per person.

1) Argentine Tango Immersion Workshop - 4 to 6pm

The passionate, elegant, and beautiful dance from Argentina. This workshop is for all of you who have heard of Tango, seen Tango, liked Tango, but never danced it. In this class you will learn the elegant Tango walk, the Embrace, Leading and Following technique as well as some typical Tango steps.

Our teaching is based on learning the proper technique and guiding you to do all your steps with confidence and joy. Also, we strongly believe in individualizing- you will never feel over- or under challenged- no matter if you have done previous dance training in other styles or you believe you have two left feet.

1) Lindy Hop Immersion Workshop - 6 to 8pm

Lindy Hop (aka Swing)- the amazing Jazz dance, born in the Ballrooms of New York in the 1920s, Lindy Hop has remained one of the most exciting partner dances on earth. Danced to Jazz classics like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and more, you'll come out of this workshop all Jazzed up, and ready to Swing Out!

The workshop will begin with a warm up of solo Jazz movement, then we'll move into the Lindy Hop rhythm, partner work, and some fun moves. Don't miss it!
